According to the proposal, this Constitutional AIP would lower the on-chain quorum from 5% to 4.5% of votable ARB, aiming to reduce gridlock in future governance cycles.
Sky Protocol has submitted a Constitutional proposal to the Arbitrum DAO, requesting the registration of Sky Custom Gateway contracts into the official Arbitrum Router. This change would enable USDS and sUSDS tokens to be bridged using the Arbitrum Bridge UI, enhancing user experience and eliminating current restrictions.
At the moment of writing, the Arbitrum DAO is holding elections to fill a Technical Expert seat on its Audit Committee—an essential role in advancing the recently approved Arbitrum Audit Program. Two finalists, Gustavo Grieco and Andrei Andonov, have been shortlisted from a pool of 68 candidates.
The Arbitrum DAO has a proposal under voting to extend the current AGV Council’s term through December 31, 2025, aligning future elections with the calendar year. The goal: ensure operational stability during AGV’s first full year of execution.
Lampros DAO introduced a Dune Analytics dashboard to monitor on-chain activity across Arbitrum Orbit chains, including Apechain, Corn, and Degen. The dashboard provides insights into transaction performance, gas metrics, and contract activity.
AI-ready data feeds arrive: Hive’s API enables builders to query real-time, LLM-formatted blockchain data across 60+ networks — now including Arbitrum
Dune added full real-time data support for ApeChain, the L3 built by ApeCoin DAO on Arbitrum Orbit. Developers can now query on-chain activity, create dashboards, and monitor ecosystem growth without running their indexers.
ZKsync launches Gateway, a middleware that aggregates proofs from every Elastic-Chain into one on-chain verification, and will add native cross-chain messaging in v29.
ZKsync has unveiled Airbender, a groundbreaking open-source zkVM built on the RISC-V architecture that is redefining performance benchmarks in zero-knowledge proving. Touted as the fastest system of its kind, Airbender is capable of proving average Ethereum blocks in under 35 seconds using just a single GPU—an achievement that drastically reduces hardware requirements and unlocks the possibility of real-time proving on consumer-grade machines.
ZKsync has introduced ZKnomics, a long-term tokenomics framework designed to align the ZK token with the protocol’s evolving infrastructure and, of course, all Elastic chains. As core systems like Gateway, EVM Equivalence, and Prividium come online, ZKnomics proposes a usage-based revenue model where protocol fees are directed toward staking rewards and supply management via token burns.
GenLayer has launched its first incentivized testnet, Asimov, now live on the Elastic Network. This marks the debut of AI-driven “Intelligent Contracts” and invites both validators and developers to begin building ahead of the GenLayer L3 mainnet. According to GenLayer’s press release, Asimov is the first Elastic-Chain testnet and represents a key milestone in their roadmap toward an AI-powered GenLayer Chain built on zkSync technology.
Deutsche Bank, Axelar Network, and Memento Blockchain (The ZK Chain based on the ZKSync Stack) published a litepaper describing the Digital Asset Management Access (DAMA) 2 project in detail. The paper provides a blueprint for a next-generation tokenisation platform, built on public blockchains with regulatory alignment and privacy as core design principles.
In its Q1 2025 report, Messari highlights explosive growth across ZKsync’s Elastic Network, with daily transactions up 276%, driven by the addition of new chains such as Abstract, WonderFi, and Lens. While ZK’s token price dropped 64%, the network posted strong fundamentals, emerging as the second-largest blockchain for tokenized RWAs with over $2B in assets.
Interop-ready contracts, a higher 500M gas limit, and removal of a permissioned role are now live for review on the governance forum. Native Superchain-to-Superchain messaging will be switched on in a follow-up upgrade later this summer.
OP Labs has extended its $2 million program, allowing white-hats to audit Upgrade 16 (and all subsequent releases) before the code reaches the main-net, adding an extra safety layer ahead of the interop launch.
Optimism has launched SuperStacks, a pilot points program designed to reward users for providing liquidity to designated pools that utilize interoperable assets, such as USDT0, across various OP Chains. Participants earn Experience Points (XP) based on the amount and duration of liquidity provided.
Kraken Ink Network, built on Optimism Superchain, is set to launch its native INK token. The token, with a fixed supply of 1 billion, will be distributed via a community airdrop on Aave.
Sky Protocol has officially launched its native $SKY token on Optimism, marking a significant leap in accessibility and adoption across the Superchain ecosystem.
As part of the Season 8 governance revamp, Optimism will introduce an “optimistic approval” process, where proposals automatically pass unless a stakeholder vetoes them.
The primary intent of Season 8 is to improve the interoperability within the Superchain.
The Optimism Foundation has created documentation for Season 8 that explains delegate roles, the new Developer Advisory Board, and how to onboard under the purpose-built framework.
Agglayer v0.3 is now live, introducing a new execution-proof mode that lets chains prove their own state using ZK proofs—no architectural changes needed. This expands the existing pessimistic proof, adding a new security layer akin to 2FA for interop. Polygon PoS is set to connect by end of Q3, with Katana going live first. The upgrade lays the foundation for fast, sub-10s, chain-agnostic interoperability across diverse blockchain ecosystems.
Polygon Labs has announced it will sunset Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta in 2026. The decision frees up resources for core priorities: Polygon PoS and Agglayer. Support for zkEVM will wind down over 12 months, with forced exits enabled permanently and no new EIP upgrades planned. Transition grants will assist teams migrating to chains like Polygon PoS, and no user funds will be lost during the wind-down.
Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal has officially takes over as CEO of the Polygon Foundation, with Agglayer as the strategic focus.
The Katana Foundation has launched the mainnet of its new DeFi-optimized blockchain. Katana is the first Agglayer CDK chain to adopt the CDK OP Stack. Connected to the Agglayer’s Bridge, Katana enables cross-chain DeFi yield and aims to unify fragmented liquidity into a sustainable yield engine.
Eigen Labs has launched the alpha version of EigenCloud, integrating EigenDA, EigenCompute, and EigenVerify. As usage grows, EigenCloud will generate protocol fees that flow back to restakers, turning Ethereum into a programmable trust layer. With $12B+ already restaked and over 200 AVSs secured, EigenLayer is now expanding from infrastructure to application-level trust at scale.
EigenLayer activated its new “Redistribution” slashing mode on testnet; mainnet rollout expected late June → July 2025. AVSs can now redirect slashed funds (e.g. to reimburse users, reward reliable operators, or power lending / insurance logic) instead of burning them.
